Your guests will feel your wedding the moment they step into the venue, long before anyone gives a toast or finds their seat. The light, the season, the space, and the two of you all shape that feeling, and our florals are designed around it. We take what you’re picturing and build toward something better than you imagined, so you can hand over the details and simply be present.
Founded in 2020 and based in Newburgh, New York, Fleur & Forage creates artful, textural florals drawn from nature for weddings and events throughout the Hudson Valley, New York City, the Catskills, and wherever your celebration takes us.
EVERY DESIGN BEGINS WITH THE SPACE, THE SEASON, & THE FEELING YOU WANT TO CARRY WITH YOU LONG AFTER THE DAY IS OVER.

Hi, I’m Rachel
I was born in New York City and grew up in the Hudson Valley on six acres of farmland that had been abandoned for decades, with an old barn, a silo, and an overgrown, fenced-in plot that had been, at some point, a garden. My mother has gardened for as long as I can remember, and one of my clearest memories is helping her plant bulbs and walking the garden beside her. I spent years dreaming of turning that forgotten plot into a secret garden of my own. I never did, but I’ve been trying to recreate it ever since in the wedding florals I design.
I started my own garden in my early twenties and have kept one ever since, wherever I’ve lived, from community plots to small rented pieces of land. I spent six years working as a nurse before moving into landscape design, and it was there that flowers began to feel like more than a passing thought. In October 2019, at my husband’s urging, I walked up to a flower stand at a farmers market and told them I wanted to learn. A few weeks later, I was helping with my first wedding, and Fleur & Forage followed in 2020.
I’ve spent every season since 2019 working on weddings and events, and those years of experience influence everything we create today. Nursing taught me to listen closely and stay calm, landscape design taught me to start with what’s already there, and all of it comes together in the way we approach you and your day.

Our floral design process
Before we talk flowers, we talk about you: your story, what matters most to you, and how you want your day to feel. A mood board tells us what you like, and a real conversation tells us why. From there, we design around your venue, the season, and the two of you, creating something better than you imagined.
Much of the work happens long before your wedding day, from the behind-the-scenes planning to sourcing flowers and materials and building the mechanics that keep each design in place, then disappear before anyone sees them. You’ll never have to think about any of that. On larger events, a trusted installation team joins us, so everything comes together seamlessly while you enjoy the day. Planners and fellow vendors trust us for our creativity, our craftsmanship, and our calm, collaborative approach.
“Rachel has such a great design eye and really understood the vision, while bringing her own creativity and perspective to it in a way that made everything even better than I had imagined... They came prepared, the installation went incredibly smoothly, and every detail came together beautifully.”
— Brittnie, Metheny & Company, Wedding PlannerWe’d love to hear about your day
If you’re looking for a creative partner you can trust with the details, we’d love to begin with a conversation.
